Hugo Chavez

This is the first time that I agree with Hugo Chavez:

This has been a tough week for our new “extended hand” foreign policy. First our new best friends in Iran scoff at our presidents videotaped message and now Hugo speaks unfavorably of our “Dear Leader”. I am convinced that after they get to meet our new secretary of state both Iran and Venezuela will realize we are serious about achieving “peace for our time”.

The last great world power was also convinced that it had achieved this utopian goal. For the details follow this link:

The two photos below are of British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain in 1938. The first photo is during his meeting with Adolph Hitler. The second photo is of Chamberlain’s return to England after the historic meeting with Hitler. The paper that he is waiving over his head is the document signed by Hitler and Chamberlain that was going to guarantee “peace for our time”.
