The three men were acquitted of conspiring to plot terrorist activities. The jury found that most of the evidence was circumstantial. Two of the men were convicted of lesser crimes of attending terrorist training camps. These three men were the only people indicted for the London subway bombings.
Our new commitment to treat terrorism as a crime and not an act of war may produce similar results in our federal court system.
